Let me be a part of your journey.

I get it. Sharing your work to have it critiqued or looked over for mistakes is scary. We all wish we could produce spotless pieces, but the universe isn’t so kind. Even a seasoned writer needs a fresh pair of eyes. So I am offering mine. I’ll even throw in an extra pair since I wear glasses.

I have a degree in journalism, completed professional and creative writing courses, and took media classes. Odds are, whatever your platform, I can work with it.

Maybe you have a piece that requires a bit of creativity. I specialize in fantasy and sci-fi stories as well as personal essays. But don’t let that stop you from sending in works of different genres. I read and work with all kinds of writing and I’d love to take a look at yours!

Or perhaps you have the foundation of your world, the bones of your characters, but you’ve hit a wall. You have a story itching to be told but don’t know how to move forward. Trust me, I’ve been there, and I want to help. I’ll ask you questions, offer ideas, help in any way I can to get your ideas off the ground.

Maybe your project is more academic or informational. You’ve done your research, you have all the facts. You’ve worked hard to compile all that data and research into a compelling essay, report, or presentation. But is it ready to turn in? I spent four years in college turning in papers anxiously, wondering if I spelled things correctly, put commas in the right places. I understand how you feel.

I named my service “Editing With Love” because I make corrections and point out mistakes out of love for the craft. I edit not only as an editor but as a fellow writer and potential reader/consumer. I don’t expect you to blindly accept my edits, and I wouldn’t want you to.

Tell me the purpose of your piece and its intended audience. If there is anything specific you’d like me to focus on in addition to general edits, please let me know as well. This may include character development, story structure, excess use of a certain word, etc. Tell me about your project and we can discuss sending a sample to see whether I am the right fit for you.

The worse case would be finding out we aren’t compatible as a team, and that’s totally okay. No hard feelings.

As far as prices go, let’s find out if I’m the right person for the job first. Prices largely depend on how much work needs to be done. Having said that, I don’t want to turn someone down solely on the basis of their budget. If you are a bit tight on money, reach out to me anyway and we can work out something within your range.

So let’s connect. You can also message me through my Facebook page. I look forward to working with you!

With Love,
